David Anfam is the Senior Consulting Curator, Clyfford Still Museum, Denver, and a preeminent authority on Abstract Expressionism. He has published several of the outstanding texts on American painting, ranging from the catalogue raisonné of Mark Rothko, to essays on Gorky, Avery & Hopper. He has been a visiting professor at Brandeis University & editor at Phaidon Press. He was recently the curator for Jackson Pollock’s Mural at the Peggy Guggenheim collection.
